Honda Prologue Recall 26V306: Rearview camera may show a distorted or blank image

NHTSA campaign 26V306, reported May 14, 2026, 59,887 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2024 Acura ZDX and 2024-2025 Honda Prologue vehicles may have a rearview camera whose screen displays a distorted or blank image. When the view behind the vehicle does not display correctly, the driver has less visibility of what is behind them, which increases the risk of a crash or injury, especially when backing up.

Honda will replace the rearview camera at no cost to owners through authorized dealers. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed July 7, 2026, and additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, which is anticipated in late 2026.

If you own an affected vehicle, check your VIN for open recalls and contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 for more information. Until the camera is repaired, be extra careful when backing up and check over your shoulder and around the vehicle before reversing.
