- Problem
- Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Lineage recreational vehicles. The adhesive securing the solar panels to the roof may fail, allowing the solar panel to detach.
- Risk
- A detached solar panel can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install mechanical fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is M910059. This recall supersedes NHTSA recall 26V042.
What this recall means for you
Certain 2025 and 2026 Grand Design Lineage recreational vehicles may have solar panels bonded to the roof with adhesive that can fail. If the adhesive lets go, a solar panel can separate from the roof while the vehicle is moving.
A detached solar panel can land on the road and become a hazard to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own an affected vehicle, check your VIN for open recalls and contact your dealer or Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679 with recall number M910059.
The repair is free. An authorized dealer will install mechanical fasteners to secure the solar panels. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. This recall supersedes NHTSA recall 26V042.
