Lucid Air Recall 26V193: Loose Bolts Can Let Rear Half-Shaft Disconnect, Causing Power Loss

NHTSA campaign 26V193, reported March 26, 2026, 3,627 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024 through 2026 Lucid Air vehicles with Pure Rear-Wheel Drive may have improperly secured bolts. Over time, these bolts can allow a half-shaft to disconnect from the drive unit.

If the half-shaft disconnects, the vehicle can lose drive power, which increases the risk of a crash. This recall expands an earlier NHTSA recall, 25V669.

The repair is free. Lucid will remove and install new bolts at an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2026. You can contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243, and you should check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
