Chevrolet Blazer EV Recall 26V031: Parking brake may engage unexpectedly or fail to hold

NHTSA campaign 26V031, reported January 22, 2026, 20 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2024-2025 Chevrolet Blazer EVs may have been repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall. The rear parking brake wiring harness can become damaged or corroded, which may cause the parking brake to engage while you are driving or cause the parking brake to stop working while the vehicle is parked.

Unintended parking brake activation while driving increases the risk of a crash. If the parking brake stops working while parked, the vehicle can roll away, which also increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the chassis harness free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 25, 2026. You can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, quoting GM recall number N252532830, and check your VIN for open recalls.
