What this recall means for you
Some 2022-2023 Ford F-150 Lightning electric trucks that were previously repaired under an earlier recall may have microcracks in the outer lens of the rear lightbar. Moisture can collect through these cracks, causing the reverse lights to stop working or flicker.
When the reverse lights are inoperative or flickering, other drivers and pedestrians may not realize the vehicle is backing up. This increases the risk of injury or a crash.
Dealers will inspect the rear lightbar and replace it and its fasteners as needed, free of charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed June 3, 2026 can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25SB6). You can also check whether your vehicle is affected by entering your VIN for open recalls at NHTSA.gov.
