- Risk
- A gear shift position indicator that fails to illuminate can make it difficult to identify the correct transmission gear position, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the GSM, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 2, 2025. Owners may contact Land Roverâs customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D054 and H566.
What this recall means for you
Moisture may have entered the gear shift module during assembly, which can cause the gear shift position indicator light to fail. The affected vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101, which covers controls and displays.
When the gear shift position indicator does not illuminate, it can be difficult to tell which transmission gear is selected. That uncertainty raises the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the gear shift module free of charge. Owner letters were mailed December 2, 2025. You can contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837, and you should check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
