Lucid Air Recall 25V669: Loose Bolts May Let Rear Axle Shaft Disconnect, Causing Power Loss

NHTSA campaign 25V669, reported October 7, 2025, 225 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024-2026 Lucid Air vehicles equipped with Pure Rear-Wheel Drive may have improperly secured bolts. These bolts can allow a half shaft, which carries power from the drive unit to a wheel, to disconnect from the drive unit.

If the half shaft disconnects, the vehicle can lose drive power, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this risk, especially when driving at speed or in traffic.

Lucid will remove, inspect, and install new bolts at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed December 3, 2025. You can contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243 and reference recall SR-25-03-0, or check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
