Hyundai Palisade Recall 25V607: Seat Belt Buckles May Fail to Latch, Risking Injury

NHTSA campaign 25V607, reported September 11, 2025, 568,580 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020-2025 Hyundai Palisade vehicles have seat belt buckles in the driver, passenger, and second-row window seats that may fail to latch. A buckle that does not latch may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, which increases the risk of injury.

Until the repair is done, make sure each belt is fully secured. Insert the belt firmly into the buckle with a quick, direct motion, then pull on the belt to confirm it is locked in place. Dealers will replace the seat belt buckle assemblies free of charge. Owners were first notified by mail beginning October 23, 2025, and final remedy letters will be mailed in phases from June 2026 through December 2026. You can check whether your VIN is involved and whether it has open recalls at NHTSA.gov, or contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 (Hyundai recall number 283).
