NHTSA campaign 25V491, reported July 28, 2025, 1,276 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The retractable awning on certain motorhomes may extend unintentionally during transit. An awning that unfolds while the vehicle is moving can become a distraction for the driver or a road hazard for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Authorized dealers will install a lock plate and replace the winch assembly at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 24, 2025. If you own an affected motorhome, contact Grech customer service at 1-951-688-8347 to confirm your eligibility and schedule the repair.

You can also check whether your vehicle has any open recalls by entering its VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup. Until the repair is completed, make sure the awning is fully retracted and secured before driving.
