Peterbilt 567 Recall 25V353: Rear brake lines may rub, risking loss of braking

NHTSA campaign 25V353, reported May 28, 2025, 315 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rear brake piping assembly on certain Peterbilt trucks may not have enough clearance. Over time, this can cause the brake lines to wear or be damaged, which may lead to a loss of service brake or anti-lock brake function.

Loss of braking increases the risk of a crash. If you drive one of the affected trucks, the risk is serious enough that you should schedule the repair promptly.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer. Dealers will install new brake hoses and correct the rear brake piping assembly. Owner letters were mailed September 8, 2025. You can contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
