Hyundai Palisade Recall 25V291: Moisture Can Short Transmission Pump Controller, Causing Fire

NHTSA campaign 25V291, reported May 6, 2025, 620 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A seal in the transmission's electric oil pump controller may not keep moisture out. Water can collect on the circuit board, causing an electrical short that can lead to a fire, either while the vehicle is parked or while it is being driven. A fire increases the risk of injury.

Until the repair is done, park your vehicle outdoors and away from structures. Dealers will replace the electric oil pump controller free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11, 2025. You can also check your VIN for open recalls and contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 with questions.
