Ford Ranger Recall 25V237: Power Windows May Not Reverse, Risking Pinching Injury

NHTSA campaign 25V237, reported April 11, 2025, 1,177 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain vehicles that were previously repaired under an earlier recall may have power windows that do not automatically reverse when closing with the global closing feature after detecting an object. As a result, the vehicle does not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 118 for power-operated window systems.

A closing window may apply excessive force and pinch a driver or passenger before it retracts, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will update the driver door module and passenger door module software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2025. You can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
