Tesla Cybertruck Recall 25V170: Light bar can detach and become a road hazard

NHTSA campaign 25V170, reported March 18, 2025, 46,096 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024 and 2025 Tesla Cybertruck vehicles have a light bar that can delaminate, meaning it separates in layers, and detach from the vehicle.

A detached light bar can land on the road and become a hazard to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take this recall seriously and avoid driving the vehicle if the light bar shows any signs of separating.

Tesla will replace the cant rail assembly free of charge at its service centers. Owners who have not received the notification letter mailed September 19, 2025 can contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752 and reference recall SB-25-10-001. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
