Ford Mustang Mach E Recall 25V130: Battery Contactors May Overheat, Causing Loss of Drive Power

NHTSA campaign 25V130, reported February 28, 2025, 626 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The high voltage battery main contactors in these vehicles may overheat. This happens in vehicles that were previously repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall. An overheated contactor may cause the vehicle to lose drive power, which increases the risk of a crash.

The fix is a software update to the on-board system, performed by an authorized dealer at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 11, 2025. If you have questions, you can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and refer to Ford recall number 25S14.

We recommend checking your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected, and scheduling the free repair with an authorized dealer if it is.
