- Problem
- Grand Design RV, LLC (Grand Design) is recalling certain 2024 Solitude and Momentum Fifth Wheel trailers. The U-bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can cause the axle to move out of position.
- Risk
- An axle that moves out of position can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the U-bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 25, 2024. Owners may contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679. Grand Design's number for this recall is 910042.

What this recall means for you
Some trailers may have had their U-bolts, which hold the leaf springs to the axle, improperly tightened at the factory. Over time this can allow the axle to move out of position.
An axle that shifts out of position can cause a loss of vehicle control and raise the risk of a crash. Owners should have the U-bolts checked and replaced as soon as possible.
