Entegra Condor Recall 24V158: Rear axle may lose lubricant, risking wheel lock-up or driveshaft separation

NHTSA campaign 24V158, reported February 28, 2024, 82 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some motorhomes may have too little rear axle lubricant. This can damage the rear axle tail bearing and cause it to seize, which may lead to wheel lock-up or a driveshaft separating from the vehicle.

These failures can cause a loss of drive power. A disconnected driveshaft can also allow the vehicle to roll away while in park if the parking brake is not applied, raising the risk of a crash.

The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the rear axle and replace the axle bearings or the axle assembly as needed. Owner notification letters were mailed April 1, 2024. To check for this recall, contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267, or check your VIN for open recalls.
