Land Rover Range Rover Sport Recall 23V251: Rear Taillights and Brake Lights May Not Illuminate Properly

NHTSA campaign 23V251, reported April 6, 2023, 5 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some rear taillights on these vehicles were fitted incorrectly and may not light up as they should. The brake lights may also fail to illuminate correctly, which means other drivers may not see that you are slowing or stopping, or may be confused about your vehicle's position on the road.

Reduced visibility and confusing lighting signals can increase the risk of a rear-end collision or other crash. The lights in question are required to meet federal lighting safety standards, which is why this recall was issued.

Dealers will inspect the rear taillights and replace them where necessary, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 25, 2023.
