Jeep Gladiator Recall 23V116: Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat, Fracture, and Cause Fire

What this recall means for you

Certain Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles equipped with manual transmissions may have a clutch pressure plate that can overheat and fracture. Overheated clutch components can increase the risk of a fire. Damage to nearby components can also send debris onto the road or cause a loss of drive, raising the risk of a crash.

Authorized dealers will replace the clutch assembly and update the software at no cost to you. This recall expands and replaces earlier recall 21V-028, so vehicles previously repaired under that recall will need the new remedy completed. If you own an affected vehicle, contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 and reference recall number 19A. You can also check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
