Tesla Model Y Recall 22V895: Loose Front Suspension Fasteners Can Cause Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V895, reported December 5, 2022, 26 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2023 Model Y vehicles may have front suspension lateral link fasteners that were not properly attached to the sub-frame. Over time, a loose fastener can allow the lateral link to separate from the sub-frame.

If this happens, the vehicle can become unstable, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked promptly.

Tesla Service will tighten or replace the fasteners as necessary, free of charge, at an authorized dealer. Owners who received notification letters mailed February 7, 2023 can contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
