What this recall means for you
Certain vehicles have headlight control module software that may cause the side marker and daytime running lights to fail. Because these lights are required for visibility, the vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices. A loss of exterior lighting can reduce how well other drivers see your vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy is free. Dealers will update the headlight control module software and recalibrate the headlights at no charge to you. Owner notification letters were mailed July 13, 2022. If you have questions, you can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, referencing recall 22C14.
Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected, and schedule the repair with an authorized Lincoln dealer.
