Ford F-250 SD Recall 22V384: Missing Tire and Pressure Info on Label Raises Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V384, reported May 27, 2022, 5,247 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Ford heavy-duty pickups, vans and E-Series vans have a Safety Certification Label that is missing the tire size, rim type, and tire pressure values for both the front and rear axles. The label is required by federal tire and wheel standards, so these vehicles do not fully comply with those rules.

Without this information, the wrong tire or rim could be installed, or the tires could be inflated to the wrong pressure. Either situation could increase the risk of a crash.

Ford will replace the Safety Certification Label free of charge at an authorized dealer. Owners were notified by letter starting July 6, 2022, and can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall 22C09). Check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
