Nova Bus LFS Recall 21V351: Fuel leak near engine can cause bus fire

NHTSA campaign 21V351, reported May 14, 2021, 644 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Nova Bus LFS and LFS Artic buses have a defect in the high pressure fuel rail assembly. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, which can allow fuel to leak from the rail.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Owners should watch for signs of a fuel leak and have their vehicle checked promptly. The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will inspect the rail threads and replace the fuel rail as necessary at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 9, 2021.

To find out whether your bus is affected, check your VIN for open recalls, or contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682.
