Nova Bus LFS Recall 20V354: Rear Door May Keep Closing on Passengers in Doorway

NHTSA campaign 20V354, reported June 15, 2020, 55 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2016-2019 Nova Bus LFS buses have a rear passenger door safety feature that automatically reopens the door when it detects an obstruction. Under certain conditions, this feature may be inactive, so the pneumatic rear door can continue closing while a passenger is in the doorway. This raises the risk of injury.

Nova Bus will notify owners and will update the software for the obstruction-detection safety mechanism. The software update is free of charge. Owners can contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682 for more information. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your bus is affected.
