RAM 1500 Recall 20V208: Loose Wiper Arms May Reduce Driver Visibility

NHTSA campaign 20V208, reported April 9, 2020, 425,599 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019-2020 Jeep Compass and Ram 1500 vehicles may have a windshield wiper arm, or arms, that can loosen. When this happens, the wipers may not operate properly, which can reduce the driver's visibility in certain weather conditions.

Reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash. If your wipers are not sweeping the glass correctly or seem loose, avoid driving in rain, snow, or other poor weather until the problem is inspected.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the wiper nuts free of charge. You can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number W25), and check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
