Jayco Fifth Wheel Eagle Recall 19V700: Gas range may not vent outside, risking carbon monoxide buildup

What this recall means for you

This recall covers certain 2019 Jayco Eagle HT and Eagle recreational trailers. The trailer's gas range does not vent outside, so carbon monoxide can build up inside the trailer.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause serious injury or death. If the range is used without proper venting, occupants face an increased risk of harm.

Jayco will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will install a range hood vent out the sidewall of the trailer at no cost. Owners can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267, and can check their VIN for open recalls.

Problem
Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2019 Eagle HT and Eagle recreational trailers. The gas range does not vent outside, which can cause carbon monoxide to build up inside the trailer.
Risk
If the range does not properly vent outside, it can cause a build up of carbon monoxide inside the trailer, increasing the risk of personal injury or death.
Remedy
Jayco will notify owners, and dealers will install a range hood vent out the sidewall of the trailer, free of charge. The recall began November 18, 2019. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco's number for this recall is 9901438.
