International HV Recall 19V422: Front Wheel Hubs May Lack Lubricant, Risking Wheel Separation

NHTSA campaign 19V422, reported June 6, 2019, 209 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2020 International HV severe service diesel trucks may have front (steer axle) wheel hubs that are insufficiently lubricated or not lubricated at all. This can damage the wheel bearings.

If the lubrication problem is not corrected, a wheel could separate from the front axle spindle, which raises the risk of a crash.

Authorized dealers will inspect the steer axle wheel hubs for the proper fluid level and repair any damaged components at no cost to you. Owners can also contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
