Audi Q3 Recall 19V385: Front turn signal may fail with no dashboard warning

NHTSA campaign 19V385, reported May 23, 2019, 23,241 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2016-2018 Audi Q3 vehicles with LED headlights may have a front turn signal that stops working without the dashboard indicator lighting up. Because the driver is not alerted to the failure, they may turn or change lanes without signaling, which raises the risk of a crash. The vehicles also do not meet federal lighting safety requirements (FMVSS 108).

Audi will notify affected owners, and an authorized dealer will update the vehicle's body control module (BCM) at no cost to the owner. Owners can contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 and reference recall number 97DK.

Check whether your vehicle is affected by entering your VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup site or with your Audi dealer, and schedule the free repair if a recall is open.
