NHTSA campaign 18V533, reported August 15, 2018, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The front passenger airbag inflator may have been manufactured incorrectly, so the airbag could fail to deploy properly during a crash.

If the front passenger airbag does not deploy as designed in a collision, the passenger faces a higher risk of injury. Affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory, so the problem should be corrected before the car is sold. If you own one of these vehicles, check your VIN for open recalls and contact an authorized BMW dealer. The dealer will replace the front passenger airbag module free of charge.
