What owners report
On October 16, 2026 my vehicle was struck on the driver side door to the point where the door is crushed inward and cannot be opened. The impact was so hard that my vehicle slid from one lane to the next and my head slammed into the glass causing ringing in my ears that is continuous. Neither the side curtain or seat airbags deployed. No airbag deployed.
2019 BMW 430i xDrive Convertible (F33). The rear side window regulator and motor failed after water got in through the rear window into the window panel and motor. On October 14, 2026 the window first would roll down only slightly and then stop; later the same day it stopped moving entirely and is now stuck fully up â no movement at all from the window switch. The cause appears to be water ingress through the rear window into the panel housing the window regulator and motor, damaging the electrical components. A window that cannot be opened in an emergency (crash, fire, submersion) is a safety risk, and water intrusion into an electrical panel behind the interior trim raises a fire concern
The vehicle had previously undergone front-end collision repairs. Seventeen days after retrieving the vehicle, it suffered a sudden, catastrophic loss of engine coolant while driving. The dashboard flashed an 'Engine Temperature High' warning followed immediately by an 'Engine Overheated' warning. Due to immediate road conditions, the vehicle could not be safely pulled over or stopped right away, creating a severe safety hazard. The vehicle became completely undrivable and was towed. Following an independent insurance and shop inspection, it was determined that the sudden failure was entirely mechanical and unrelated to the collision. A diagnostic inspection by an independent service center
The contact owns a 2019 BMW 430I. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH and switching lanes, there was a loud explosion. The contact was unable to determine the cause of the sound. The contact pulled over to the side of the road to inspect the tires and discovered that the sunroof had shattered upward. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 131,992.
The car has a plastic part in the oil housing component that cracks under heat usually between 50000 and 70000 miles causing a major loss of coolant onto highway and disables the engine
