Chrysler Pacifica Plug-IN Hybrid Recall 17V375: Incorrect tire label could lead to vehicle overloading

NHTSA campaign 17V375, reported June 13, 2017, 100 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The tire placard on certain vehicles incorrectly lists seating capacity as 6 occupants instead of 7, and the combined weight limit as 950 lbs instead of 1,100 lbs. The vehicles also fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 for tire selection and rims.

Because the label understates what the vehicle can carry, owners may load it beyond its true limits, which increases the risk of a crash.

Chrysler will notify owners, and authorized dealers will replace the tire placard label free of charge. Owners can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 for more information. Check your VIN for any open recalls.
