What this recall means for you

Certain 2016-2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class and AMG coupes and convertibles, built between June 29, 2015 and March 15, 2016, have seat belt extenders that may not retract as intended and may break during a crash.

If the extender fails to retract or breaks in a crash, the seat occupant may not be properly restrained, which increases the risk of injury. Owners will be notified by Mercedes-Benz USA, and the recall is expected to begin in mid-December 2016.
