Jayco Redhawk Recall 16V568: Shower curtains may burn too easily, raising fire risk

NHTSA campaign 16V568, reported August 1, 2016, 2,240 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Jayco Redhawk motorhomes may have shower curtains that do not adequately resist catching fire when exposed to an ignition source. The curtains fail to meet federal flammability standard FMVSS 302 for interior materials.

A flammable shower curtain can further fuel a fire, which increases the risk of injury to occupants. Owners should take this seriously and arrange the repair promptly.

Dealers will replace the shower curtains with fire-retardant curtains free of charge. To confirm whether your vehicle is included, contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9903318, or check your VIN for open recalls.
