RAM 2500 Recall 16V559: Steering may respond poorly if front bracket separates

NHTSA campaign 16V559, reported July 26, 2016, 59 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2015 RAM 2500 and RAM 3500 trucks and cab chassis may have inadequate welds securing the front track bar frame brackets. Over time, these bracket components could separate from the frame.

If the brackets separate, the vehicle may have a reduced response to steering input, which increases the risk of a crash.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer, where the bracket will be welded or the frame replaced. Chrysler will notify owners, but you can also call Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall S58) and check your VIN for open recalls.
