Shasta Airflyte Recall 15V369: Incorrect tire and weight label can lead to tire failure

NHTSA campaign 15V369, reported June 12, 2015, 249 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The Federal Certification Label on these travel trailers incorrectly lists the tire size, gross axle weight rating, gross vehicle weight rating and cargo carrying capacity. Because the label gives wrong limits, an owner could unknowingly overload the trailer.

If the trailer is overloaded, the tires may fail suddenly, which increases the risk of a crash.

The repair is free. Forest River will notify owners, and an authorized dealer will install a corrected label at no cost. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8717 and refer to recall number 54-06052015-0047. You can also check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
