TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MITSUBISHI GALANT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED AND WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO ANY OTHER GEAR. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED, IT OPERATED NORMALLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS ORDERED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TAKATA RECALL FUEL LEAKAGE
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON; SO THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE EGR VALVE W/GASSKET. I HAVE DRIVEN MY CAR ABOUT 500 MILES AND IT STILL DOES NOT PASS THE SMOG TEST. THE OXYGEN SENSOR IS NOT READY. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT I NEED TO DRIVE THE CAR MORE.
THE SRS LIGHT ON DASHBOARD IS ON.I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL FROM THE MANUFACTURER TAKATA ON THE AIR BAGS.
