BRIEF ENGINE KNOCK/RATTLE NOISE AT COLD STARTUP PER TSB ITS A MINOR PROBLEM. THAT IS NOT THE CASE. THIS IS A CAMSHAFT GEAR ASSEMBLY DEFECT , SAFETY RELATED AND LEXUS IS NOT FIXING THIS PROBLEM WHEN THEY KNOW ITS THERE.
MY VEHICLE IS HAVING AN ISSUE WITH OIL CONSUMPTION, AFTER RUNNING IT FOR 2000 MILES AFTER EVERY ENGINE OIL (SYNTHETIC) AND FILTER REPLACEMENT, MY VEHICLE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SHOWS TO BE SUPER LOW. NO SIGNS OF LEAKAGE ANYWHERE.
TAKATA RECALL. WHEN DRIVING THE 2008 LEXUS GS 350 4DR SEDAN STALLS WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, IT IS UNCONTROLABLE. FOR EXAMPLE WHEN I'M AT A RED LIGHT AND MY FOOT IS ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND I PRESS MY FOOT GRADUALLY ON THE GAS PEDAL WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN. THEN CAR WILL STALL FOR ABOUT 1 TO 2 MINTUES, THEN WILL INCREASE IN SPEED. IT'S DANGEROUS BECAUSE, WHEN I NEED TO TURN AND THE CAR STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN IT WOULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR. OR WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION GOING STRAIGHT ON A HIGHWAY OR AN INTERSECTION IT COULD STALL, AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT TO OCCUR. IT DOESNT HAPPEN EVERYTIME WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, SO FAR I'VE BEEN NOTICING AND TAKING NOTE IT HAS BEEN OCCURING
MY REAR VIEW MIRROR LOOKS SCRATCHED (THE MIRROR COATING INSIDE THE HOUSING)AND DIS COLORED REAR VIEW MIRROR ; OBVIOUS DEFECTIVE MIRROR MY REAR VIEW MIRROR IS COMPLETE DETERIORATED TO A POINT THAT IT CAN NO LONGER SEE ANY OBJECT IN THE MIRROR. IT HAS BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE
