What owners report
When driving on the highway the car stopped changing gears and then flashed a check engine light, this has already happened to me on another QX70 infiniti that I had previously owned so it seems to be a common problem especially since Infiniti has now updated the part stamping to a G2A model from an MB3 since they know these parts fail. The car becomes undriveable on the road as gears stop shifting. This isn't something that is determined on how you drive but merely a sensor in the transmission that is prone to failing and creating an unsafe situation. I searched it online and it appears many people have problems with the transmission valve body failing on these poorly designed parts.
The issue I have experienced involved my car stalling due to an inaccurate fuel gauge reading: basically, ran out of gas on a road while fuel gage was still showing half tank full. Luckily, was able to avoid any accident. The error code came up: P0462, which stands for âFuel Level Sensor âAâ Circuit Low,â and indicates a problem with the fuel level sensor circuit. I was going to replace the fuel gauge/pump, but was told by a Nissan technical adviser at the dealership, the root cause is likely a faulty instrument cluster module, which is responsible for processing and displaying the fuel level information. This malfunction can lead to incorrect fuel readings, causing the car to stall
I was driving down the highway on [XXX] near Tucson, Arizona, when I heard a loud boom and my sunroof shattered. There were no cars in front of me, nor did I see anything in the road. It scared me but luckily I had my sunroof visor closed. I pulled off the freeway to check the damage, I had a shattered sunroof with scratches along the top of my vehicle from the flying glass. No call to police was made. I have not repaired sunroof and I am waiting back on insurance to get quote on replacement. A sensor, or trio of sensors, in the passenger side airbag system failed. Nissan/Infiniti says they cant be sure which of the three sensors is causing the problem and needs to replace all three. One of the sensors is integrated into the passenger seat itself and therefore the entire seat must be replaced. This all adds up to a very expensive repair cost of over $10,000 for sensors that are not accessible by the user, and therefore failed because of a manufacturer's defect, and not because of wear and tear, or anything caused by the user. Infiniti is unable to tell me how the passenger side airbag will react in the event of an accident, so that leads me to beleive the vehible is possibly un
While driving on the interstate, the sunroof exploded. There was no warning, no objects seen that could have hit it, good weather. The glass from the sunroof hit the car behind me and cracked their windshield. Thankfully our sun shade was closed so no shattered glass came into the car and no one was hurt.
