1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine piston rings failed or malfunctioned. These parts were previously replaced under a Honda recall in 2018 due to excessive oil consumption. The same issue has returned â the vehicle is again burning oil. The engine and related components remain available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The excessive oil consumption can cause low engine oil levels, which may lead to engine damage or stalling while driving. A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of an accident, especially at highway speeds or in traffic. Additi
