I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER FROM SAMSUNG FOR A MODEL MR5491 MICROWAVE. THIS UNIT IS PERMENANTLY INSTALLED IN MY TRAVEL TRAILER, YET SAMSUNG INSISTS THAT A MUST REMOVE THE UNIT AND TAKE THE UNIT IN FOR SERVICE. I MUST TAKE OFF WORK TO DO THIS, AS THE CENTER IS ONLY OPEN M-F IF IT IS AN INSTALLED UNIT, WHY DOES THE RECALL NOT INCLUDE SERVICE--AFTER ALL IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM THAT THE UNIT IS DEFECTIVE!!
THE CONSUMER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER ON THE MICROWAVE SANSUNG MR5493G01 LAST OCTOBER. THE CONSUMER CALLED 1-866-461-2289, AND STATED THAT THEY WILL SEND THE PART AND A TECHNICIAN TO INSTALL THE PART. HOWEVER, NEITHER THE PART NOR THE TECHNICIAN SHOWED UP. CONSUMER CALLED BACK ON SIX DIFFERENT TIMES, AND STILL NO PART OR TECHNICIAN APPEARED. *AK
