What owners report
My 2017 Genesis G90 received Safety Recall 018G (NHTSA 24V-107) on December 31, 2024, addressing a starter-solenoid electrical short/fire risk. Around June 7, 2026, I noticed an unusual odor and found the engine-room junction/fuse box extremely hot, with visible heat damage. An independent shop documented melted plastic near the starter relay/junction box, cleaned damaged material, replaced a 200A fuse, and reinstalled the relay kit. The contact owns a 2017 Genesis G90. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stationary, the contact became aware of smoke coming from the driverâs side of the engine. While stopped at a red light, the vehicle was smoking with an oil-burning odor. Additionally, the contact stated that the air bag module light was illuminated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V107000 (Electrical System) and 24V191000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) as possible causes for the failure. The dealer and the manufacturer agreed to assist with the recall repairs but had not provided the parts for the repairs. The failure mileage was 118,000.

Iâve only been calling to follow up on the unresolved safety issues: no fluids, bad brakes (which they claimed to have repaired), and rear tires with no tread at all. When they repaired the brakes, I would have gladly purchased new tires had I been informed.â¨â¨On November 3rd at 8:23 PM, I found myself stranded on the side of the highway once againâthis time due to exposed tread and a large bubble on the tire. Itâs deeply troubling that a vehicle was sold in such unsafe condition. This raises s
