As I was pulling off from a stop sign, passenger and driver airbags deployed unexpectedly with no reason causing the front windshield to shatter and leaving the steering wheel busted open along side passenger dash. Also leaving me with burns, scratches on my chin and small shards of glass in my face and forearms.

The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration and inadvertently shifted into cruise control and then seized in full idle. The accelerator pedal depressed independently. The high battery voltage and oxygen sensor warning lights were illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure and diagnosed that the vehicle needed an idle control motor replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.
THE FUEL LINE MADE OF HEAVY PLASTIC CRACKED AND CAUSED ALL THE FUEL TO LEAK FROM THE CAR NEAR THE ENGINE AS I WAS DRIVING NEAR MY HOME. I AM LUCKY THE CAR DID NOT CATCH FIRE BEFORE I REALIZED IT WAS LEAKING AS I DROVE DOWN THE ROAD.

THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A FUEL RAIL LEAKAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS EXCLUDED FROM NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V110000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 124,000.
