Forest River Pause Recall 26V686: Loose Solar Panel Wire Can Cause Fire in Travel Trailer

NHTSA campaign 26V686, reported October 20, 2026, 215 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Forest River Pause travel trailers from model years 2023 through 2026 were built with the wrong connector securing the 12-volt solar panel wires. The connector may not hold the wires firmly, so a wire can work loose.

A loose wire may increase the risk of a fire. Owners should watch for any sign of trouble with the solar panel wiring and check whether their trailer is covered by this recall.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will install a new connector at no cost. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 28, 2026. You can also contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-535-2748, referencing recall number 426-2107. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm your trailer's status.
