Land Rover Range Rover Recall 26V678: Rearview camera may fail, reducing view behind vehicle

NHTSA campaign 26V678, reported October 15, 2026, 93,997 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Water may not drain away from the rearview camera because the vehicle has too few drain holes. Water that collects around the camera can damage it, and a rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle and increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free at an authorized dealer. Dealers will drill additional drain holes in the underside of the tailgate trim and will inspect the rearview camera and replace it if needed. Owners will receive interim notification letters, expected to be mailed December 11, 2026, with additional letters once the final remedy is available. You can also contact Land Rover customer service at 800-637-6837, referencing recall D171.

Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls at NHTSA's recall lookup site, and schedule the repair with an authorized Land Rover dealer as soon as the remedy is available.
