What this recall means for you
Certain Prevost buses from the 1992 through 1995 model years are missing the emergency exit operating instruction label on the entrance door. The vehicles therefore fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 217, which covers bus emergency exits and window retention and release.
Without these instructions, passengers may be prevented or delayed from getting off the bus during an emergency, which increases the risk of injury.
Prevost will replace the emergency exit label free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. You can contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046 for more information, and check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
