What this recall means for you
Certain Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Maybach S-Class vehicles from model years 2022 and 2023 may have front brake hoses that can rupture and leak brake fluid. A fluid leak can reduce braking effectiveness and lengthen the distance needed to stop, which raises the risk of a crash.
This recall expands an earlier NHTSA recall, 25V116. Owners are advised to check whether their vehicle is included by entering the VIN at NHTSA.gov or on the manufacturer's site. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners can also contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
The remedy is a free replacement of the front brake hoses at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. If you own an affected vehicle, schedule the repair as soon as possible and check your VIN for any other open recalls.
