What this recall means for you
Certain Altec aerial devices may have a platform access step that was improperly welded between the step tube and its mounting plate. Over time, the step could separate from the vehicle or become unstable while in use.
If the step separates or becomes unstable, a worker or operator could fall and be injured. Because the step is used to climb on and off the platform, this risk applies every time the step is used.
Owners should contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832, referencing recall CSN-3374. Altec will replace the steps free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. You can also check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
