Forest River Cedar Creek Recall 26V608: Sleeper Sofa Can Block Bunkroom Door in Emergency

NHTSA campaign 26V608, reported September 23, 2026, 132 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025-2026 Forest River Cedar Creek fifth wheel recreational trailers have a bunkroom door whose swing can be blocked by the sleeper sofa. The door may not open fully or may be obstructed, which could prevent or delay occupants from exiting during an emergency.

A blocked exit raises the risk of injury if people need to leave the trailer quickly, such as in a fire or other emergency. Owners should not rely on that door as an escape route until the repair is completed.

Dealers will correct the swing of the bunkroom door at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed October 19, 2026. You can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
