What this recall means for you
Certain rear seat belt buckles in these vans contain a wireless reminder system that may malfunction and fail to show when a buckle's status changes. If the warning does not light up or alert, a rear passenger who is not wearing a seat belt may not be reminded to fasten it, which raises the risk of injury in a crash.
Dealers will inspect the rear seat belts and replace the wireless seat belt buckles where needed, at no cost to you. Ford has mailed interim notification letters, and additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, which is expected in December 2026. Until then, make sure all rear passengers buckle up before driving.
To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your VIN at NHTSA.gov, which has been searchable since September 10, 2026, or contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 26S67).
