NHTSA campaign 26V567, reported September 1, 2026, 58 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers certain trucks where the front brake valve and hoses may be the wrong size. That can delay when the rear service brakes apply and release, and when trailer brakes respond through the gladhand connections. The brakes may not respond as quickly as designed, and the vehicle also fails to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 for air brake systems.

Delayed brake response can increase the risk of a crash. Owners should contact Peterbilt customer service at 1-940-591-4220 for more information. Owner notification letters were mailed October 21, 2026.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will replace the front brake valves and hoses at no charge. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
