Light BOY GBX12SK Recall 26V564: Trailer Frame May Bend and Light Tower May Detach

NHTSA campaign 26V564, reported September 1, 2026, 12 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020 and 2023 Light Boy GBX12SK light towers have a trailer frame that may bend at the tow bar. If the frame bends, the light tower can detach from the trailer while in use or on the road.

A detached light tower can become a road hazard for other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash or injury. If you own one of these light towers, check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls and contact an authorized dealer as soon as possible. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by October 31, 2026.

Dealers will install a new bracket or a reinforcement cover at no cost to you. You can also contact Light Boy customer service at 1-800-421-1244 with questions.
